Lactation consultant:    

• Prenatal education    
• Hands on breastfeeding instruction & support    
• Hands on pumping instruction & support including proper flange fit    
• Assistance with positioning and latching    
• Assistance with breastfeeding challenges (sore, cracked, and/or bleeding nipples, engorgement, low milk supply, oversupply, plugged ducts, etc.)    
• Guidance for oral restrictions (Lip & tongue ties)    
• Guidance with expressing/pumping breast milk, introducing the bottle and returning to work  
• Resources and referrals as necessary
