I grew up in Berkeley, California, and was raised by my lovely single mother, nanny, and grandparents. I always had a deep-rooted love for mamas and babies. As soon as I was old enough to provide childcare, I did, and still do, but now in the form of postpartum support. The summer before my junior year of college, I went through a traumatic hiking accident, which left me concussed and “out of commission” for some time. This experience opened doors of holistic healing for me that I have gladly stepped into and don’t see myself leaving anytime soon. Going through this, I discovered the power of herbalism, acupuncture, energy healing, and many more modalities! With the support of friends, family, healers, doctors and the newfound mindset that “my body has the wisdom to heal itself,” with intentional support, I did heal. I then returned to college to finish my degree in Anthropology, with emphases in Medical and Feminist Anthropology.
